I guess you missed the thread where I broke the bama posters down into 5 tiers ranging from "Great fan tier" on one end to "Updyke tier" on the other.
You were much closer to the latter.

Bama has been and will continue to be a national brand in the world of college football. Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers will always have a more global following because of the cities they are in and the professional nature of their sports.
