It's always good having a Lionel James and Tommy Agee to soften up defenses.

That was good in 1983 when Bo had his best year and averaged about 8 yards per carry (250+ yards on 12 carries I believe against bama).

In 1984 and 1985 though, AU went to the I formation instead of the wishbone. Pat Washington was a complete disaster at qb and we had practically no offensive line in 1985. It was a joke.

Washington's stats in 1985:

Completions: 56
Attempts: 122
Yardage: 772
TDs: 2
Int: 6

QB rating: 94

McElroy in 2010:

Comp: 222
Attempts: 313
Yardage: 2987
TD: 20
Int: 5

QB rating: 169

Seriously, it is a miracle Bo put up the numbers he did in 1985. Probably no other back in the history of college football could have put up Bo's numbers against 8-9 man fronts all year with zero threat of a passing game. I mean 2 TDs and 6 Ints all year??? WTF?
