Post-Watkins:
2004-2005: 21 wins (NIT)
2005-2006: 22 wins (NCAA 2nd round)
2006-2007: 27 wins (Sweet 16)
2007-2008: 23 wins (NCAA 2nd round)
2008-2009: 24 wins (NCAA 2nd round)
2009-2010: 25 wins (NCAA 2nd round)
2010-2011: 23 wins (NCAA Tournament)
2011-2012: 14 wins (jack shite)
2012-2013: 7 wins so far
Prior to Gillispie, A&M had gone to the tournament 6 times in its history. Furthest they ever went was 1980 when they took National Champion Louisville to the wire after beating North Carolina by 17 in overtime.
They were actually a respectable program under Shelby Metcalf and the program pretty much gave itself the death penalty between 1990-2004.

I hope Rick Ray = our Melvin Watkins
Because that means things get better once he's gone.
