As said old timer, I never hated bama, as the Bear was pretty much respected & admired, tho, truth be known, if the media back then was like it is now, perhaps his rep would not be as glossy. The gators under the Old Ball Coach kicked everyone's butt & I never hated them, either. Getting beat on the field has never been an issue, play a team long enough & the better team usually wins over the long road. I accept that. I just don't like the decades long bias bama gets when they don't really need it. If you honestly don't think the Bear influenced the league office, then you also don't think his son has any influence with bama's program now. Let the kids line up & play & keep the politics out of it. The SEC is strong enough without falling back on BS to get a team in the NCG every yr.
