WTF??, What happened to him this year? MIA the last 4-5 games, playing but Gilliard & CR got all his time...

Robinson got a lot of PT against GSU and GT because he's a smart player and knows his assignment...key against an option O. Saw him in on several tackles early against Bama but in the latter part of the game our lack of DL depth killed us and Bama's OL was getting to our LBs way too easily.

A friend of mine noted that when Herrera was in that we did a better job of stopping Bama's run, but we pulled him out after 1st down consistently . Did anyone else see this?

I'd have to go back and watch. Bamas 350 was a shitstorm of the following:
1) Our front 3 were getting man-handled...nose guard got zero pressure.
2) Our LB were struggling to get off blocks including Tree and Jarvis, but JJ was double teamed...a lot.
3) Lot of check-tackling by Rambo and company...this I honestly hated the most. I can't stand watching secondary guys slam into a ball carrier in hopes he goes down. Piss poor tackling.
4) The Bama RBs get a lot of credit too. They are Just very good.Hit the holes with crazy speed and power drove 5+ yards after.
Point is, not sure it owuld have mattered who we got at LB....Bama was just better up front.

Yep...I was having flashbacks to the Willie bump-tackle days yelling "GRAB SOMEBODY" to the TV.

I brought it up in another thread. He hardly played after the first quarter. After that Gilliard was in for most of the game and either got ran around or over.

Marlo is a much better run stopper than Mike-G. Hands down.
