..and would compete for the SEC conference title this year. That's a pretty good team.

Well if you say so it must be true

They're dangerous in a one game setting, sure. I don't see them competing week in and week out this year.

With Florida's schedule they would have lost 2 games. At least.

John Football's day would be done at half.

Maybe. But when all is said and done, Bama's two toughest games this year were against LSU and Georgia. I imagine they'll beat ND by 3 TD's or more.

In which division? East or West?

Notre Dame would finish behind
Alabam
Georgia
Florida
LSU
Texas A&M
South Carolina
That doesn't qualify as a top 3-4 team in the SEC

probably true - with Bama or UGA's regular season schedule they probably finish with no more than one loss - with LSU or Florida's regular season schedule I think they would finish with two losses

Sorry, I just don't buy it and I have watched a lot of ND football this year. ND has been insanely lucky this year, they could easily have 4 losses to some pretty mediocre football teams.
Purdue, BYU, and Pitt are all mediocre teams that should have beaten ND but choked. They needed serious help from the striped men to beat Stanford in OT and they got Stanford before they changed QB's and became a substantially better team. The win over USC is being built up as some impressive accomplishment but USC is terrible this year and they were without their starting QB and their backup could barely throw an accurate screen pass.
The only impressive win ND has is really OU (I have trouble counting Stanford as Stanford was robbed).
I just don't see how ND manages to matchup with those teams in the SEC. Vegas agrees.

If they had Bamas schedule then yes. Probably one or two losses even with that.

3-4 losses, but some might be close

Notre Dame is a good football team, but they wouldnt be top 4 in the SEC.
Bama, LSU, UGA, and UF would all beat them IMO. I think TAMU would beat them too. USCe would be a close match up as well.

I just watched 4 of their games the past couple of days. The term overrated is coming to mind. I'm expecting Bama to show them a full Rusty Sandusky.
