The Bowl system has outlived it's usefulness. The entire Bowl season is a waste of time.

I've always liked the Bowls so I don't think they should go away but there definitely needs to be some tweaking done. The people want and need to see the best match ups between the best teams and if 6 of those teams happen to be in the SEC then so be it. Downright embarrassing that Wisconsin, Louisville, and Northern Illinois are getting marquee games while Georgia, TAMU, LSU, and USCe are going to second tier games.

Here's the biggest problem with bowl games: The top SEC programs have completely distanced themselves from everyone else in the country. The SEC spends more $$$, has more passion, has better players, builds better facilities than virtually everyone outside of a few other powers like USC, Oregon, TX, OU, Ohio State, etc.

Georgia and Oklahoma had the right idea 25 years ago when they tried to lead a group of powerful teams to leave the NCAA.

There needs to be a new division in football with only 64 teams and a 8 team playoff at the end of the season.

When programs like Louisville and NIU are getting Elite bowl games and teams like UGA, LSU, A&M, OU, and S. Carolina are going to far lessor bowls it's way past time to continue down this absurd path.

Seriously, there is nothing about the upcoming bowl season that is interesting or compelling.
