There are guys with better stats, but would you consider him one of the best in the conference?

52 catches-894 yards-9 touchdowns and he missed a game with an injury.

He didn't seem like anything special on HS film, but the kid is a hell of a football player

I'd consider him one of the best but not THE best.

I think that he is one of the best, if not THE best. UTs patterson might be better.

Right now he is playing better than anyone in the conference and he will clearly be the best next year. We will be much better next year than we are this year if we get a few JUCO O linemen. Probably be the r=first team to ever win three in a row.

I don't know, but he's the best receiver we've had since Julio, for sure.

Would get my vote. OJ Howard scares me for next year as well. I saw some very good footage on him at 7 on 7 camp.

for the record he got my vote before the SECCG...

I must be a complete homer, because there is no doubt in my mind that he is the best.

ETA - Moncrief, Patterson, and Swope would also get my consideration, though.

This year? Probably not.

Next year? frick yes, sucks he'll have to split catches with Black, White & Bell.....it's a problem I would love to have.

"Best" is subjective since it usually entails comparing different roles and across different contexts.

At this point in the season I don't think anyone is playing better than Cooper. Hard to believe he's just a Fr. Will be interesting to see if he can sustain that level in the future.

No, but he's a very good one, and will only get better.

I would take Moncrief over anyone else at this point.

Chad Bumphis is a very good slot/possesion receiver. He is fearless over the middle and gets lots of YAC.

The Swope kid from TAMU looks like the real deal as well. That hit he took over the middle in the Bama game was sick!

I don't know if he's THE best...but he's certainly one of the best (and clearly OUR best receiver)
