After the game last night, Saban went on to talk about how UGA deserves a BCS bowl game. He also spoke earlier in the week about how the loser of the SECC deserves a BCS bowl.

Knowing where Florida stood in the ranking, is this a shot at Muschamp? Do Saban and Muschamp have some issues?

He also went on to say that Florida deserves to play in a BCS Bowl as well. He wasn't taking shots at anyone, he was taking shots at the two team per conference rule.

Saban said both Florida and UGA should make a BCS bowl. He said any team with only 1 loss in the SEC deserves to be in a BCS bowl.

CNS also said last night that any team that goes 11-1 in the SEC deserves to play in a BCS bowl and said specifically that Florida deserves to play in a BCS bowl

Um, no.

Saban's OBVIOUS implication was that if a conference has several great teams, they all deserve recognition in major bowls. Alabama, Georgia, and Florida all deserve a BCS bowl game. One could easily make an argument for LSU, South Carolina, and Texas A&M, too, especially seeing as how an 8-5 team is going to the Rose Bowl and a really mediocre FSU team gets a free trip to the Orange Bowl for doing nothing more than existing in a basketball conference.

Muschamp is the first person he tried to hire when he came to Alabama.

No, he was hedging his bet that if Bama lost, they would still get a BCS game.

Saban is a politician.

I guess you decided to leave out, or completely missed, the part where he stated Florida deserved a BCS bowl as well. Jesus.
