Only enough time on the clock after spiking for 2. If you pass instead of spike, you get 3. Receiver shouldn't have caught the ball.

Good, aggressive call. Just bad player decision.

In defense of Ga, he was trying to throw it to the end zone, but it got tipped and caught by the back. Unfortunate that he didn't think to let it drop.
The clock management wasn't great for sure, but the tip/catch kept them from having another play.

The spike would have happened 4-5 seconds earlier
