If there were 120 great dual threat QBs to come out of high school every year then youmight have had a point...

People in this thread act like Alabama lines up in the Maryland I. 50% of Alabamas offensive snaps come from a spread formation. The key is to have the ability to run the other 50 from a power formation. This is why bama has had one of the best offenses in the country the last few years. Mcelwain and Nuss both ran/run a pile of spread plays, it's just not strictly what they run like an Oregon or tamu.

This is why lsu offense struggle in my mind, they don't spread it out enough. There is a time for spread and a time for power throughout the course of a game. I'm just glad bama is capable of both
