Makes sense, they ducked out of playing in Jerry's world against us this year as well.

I guess a 0 fer ever record will do that to a school.

Well the Cotton Bowl Chair went on the radio today and said that "some Big 12 teams" have "bad blood" with the Ags and don't want to play them. Of course he only chairs the committee so what would he know?

I mean the Ags should decline the bigger bowl to play some Big 12 team right?

ESPN Dallas reported that several Big 12 teams didn't want to play A&M. Reporter wouldn't say which teams.

Truth is as much as I would like to beat them, we don't have anything to gain by playing them. texass has quite a bit to lose by playing A&M, not so much to gain.

I hope A&M ends up in Capital One Bowl vs Michigan, that is my first choice after BCS dreams ended.

TAMU already in Cap One so that makes sense. We're too good to fall that far.

We had the chairman of the Cotton Bowl admit on TexAgs radio today there are Big 12 teams that don't want to play us.

The reason Cotton aint happening on our end is we are going Cap One.

This is a chance for A&M to play in a traditional SEC bowl outside of Texas, which I think is a good move.

I don't think there is a single Big-12 school that scares ANY SEC team, period.

First of all, this should be emphasized as this was the point of the thread.

Second, for most Aggies, why would we want to play in a stadium we have been to 4 times in the last 4 years, in a city that is not a new destination, to play a team we have played every year for the last 16 years? Who cares what you guys think is the better bowl. Its new for us and despite what you guys think, its pretty much considered one of the biggest non-BCS bowls, if not the biggest.

Third, Cap-1 is on ESPN, Cotton is on Fox. Coming from experience, you don't get talked about much leading up to the game on ESPN when you are on Fox.

So no one is going to disagree that Jerry World is probably a nicer facility, it doesn't mean its a better destination for us.

NO. The Cap one has 1st pick. Who would YOU take??? A EXCITING Johnny Football or a rather boring LSU team. Even though I think a Mich-LSU matchup would be real cool.

Typical aggy logic going on in this thread i see. The Cotton Bowl and Cap One bowl are virtually the same dipsticks. Only if you're a team like A&M that hasn't won anything do you care about which of the 2 you go to because its the best bowl you've almost ever been in for the last 15 years. So I guess i understand.

This is a huge non-story. A&M isn't "ducking" the Cotton Bowl. The Capital One Bowl gets to pick first. The Capital One Bowl thinks Texas A&M is its best pick. The Cotton Bowl would LOVE a Texas/Texas A&M match. It would easily be the best non-BCS bowl of the year. But it's not up to the Cotton Bowl.
