My parents live in Bham and my mom was freaking out about this bc she's on Charter. Meltdown coming in Bham if this doesn't get straightened out by Saturday.

These things always get resolved. If not, find a friend or a bar to watch it at.

Usually but not always in a timely manner. Directv and Viacom got into a pissing match a few months back where a dozen channels or more were dropped for a few weeks. I believe Dish lost AMC as well over similar negotiation problems.

Charter cable is bluffing.

Different situation. Dish owed AMC something like 2.3 billion to AMC because of some contract from AMC's old parent company. This has to do with CBS affiliate owner in B'Ham and Charter, not CBS as a whole.

Just get a HD antenna, and say frick charter for the game. You can get CBS over the air, no need to have cable for it. Just an idea.

Hide your trees, Charter!
...but seriously, Charter can suck a nut. Worst cable company I've ever dealt with

I've got Charter as well, and I'm not that worried about it. If its blacked out, I'll go to my parents house who have U-Verse. And I can still watch NCIS online, so whatever.

I'll be in the Dome and yes Charter blows. Just thought I'd pass this along in case someone was unaware and went apeshit on their dog when they turn on the tube at 3:00 expecting to see a game and find snow.

Just get an HD antenna (uncompressed signal unlike cable....better)
or go to FrontRowSports.com and watch it for free

You don't need an "HD" antenna. Any antenna will do. Of course, outside ones work better.
