Read about half the thread before I realized it was Les Mes, not Les Miles...

They have been playing it for a while too.

Oklahoma does as well...for obvious reasons.

I'm pretty sure "wrongly" is used correctly in that sentence. I'm no English major but I'm pretty sure you can use "wrong" as well as "wrongly" in that situation. The English language is just convoluted like that.

I was always taught in my college grammar classes that were required in my major that 'right' and 'wrong' can be used informally as adverbs (and come after the verb, where 'rightly' and 'wrongly' which are more formally correct can often appear either side of it).

On defensive third downs we play a short Phantom tune. Other downs are a mix of Kashmir, Seven Nation Army, Party Like A Rockstar, and the villain's theme from the new Trek movie

It was added halfway through the season. Not a fan, but at least it's short

Did they drop "Go Alabama"? I haven't heard that tune in a long time, it seems.

We usually would play it randomly like three times a year But this year it hasn't been touched

You're right. Merriam Webster has it also listed as an adverb. An exception indeed.

I know you were. You are one of my favorite Aubie posters. My mother corrects my grammar when we argue. I like being a smartass back.
