Isn't it supposed to be some kind of selection committee shite? I find it hard to believe that will ever take more than 2 SEC teams (and only then if there's a clear gap between the 2nd team and the next team). That doesn't even begin to get into the way polls will clearly be manipulated leading up to it.

Ding, ding, ding.

That's why the SEC had to agree to the committee shite for the 4 team playoff to be accepted by the Big 10 and Pac 12. It's a away to take the decision out of semi-autonomous pollsters and computers and leave it up to big wigs that can me swayed.

No way there are EVER 3 SEC teams in the 4 team playoff even if they are 3 of the best teams in the nation.

Since 16 team conferences look like the future . Have 8, 16 team conferences 128 teams ( currently 124 ) so 4 teams can still jump to D1 ( No Independents) have 8 automatic bids and 8 at large births. 16 team playoff and college football owns the month of December. Still have bowl game for non playoff teams, and then promote the 16 team tournament " Made for Champions".
