if not there will be a ton of dissapoint. just reading itat there are tons of posts about petrino, some of them decent trolling attempts but nonetheless there seems to be too much smoke.

Jimbo and Paterson will have to tell us no first... Petrino is third, some say fourth behind Malzahn.
1a) Jimbo
1b) Paterson
3) Petrino (Do not think we drop below here)
4a) Malzahn
4b) Smart

It's Patterson, Petrino, or bust for me. I don't want anyone else. Anyone else that's available at least.

I thought Jimbo more or less already said no?

He said the typical no to the press that every coach who's ever taken another job has said right before they left.

I believe Jimbo will interview on Sunday or Monday... Look for an announcement on Tuesday of next week. My money would be on Petrino.

he has also told reps from auburn no on multiple occasions. Doesn't hurt to ask again but i'd say he's the 3rd best realistic option (if you consider patterson realistic). Maybe something changed now that he has to go get a new DC

So if Peterson is hired you're done with AU?

There's an article on al.com regarding Gary Patterson that says he would listen if contacted.
I think if Auburn agrees to give him complete control of the football program he's in. I think it goes without saying that money would be no object.
He is my first choice and from the names being mentioned, my only choice

Bobby will be the first black coach at Auburn like Bill Clinton was the first black president.
