Very good level headed assessment but I disagree on a few points.

quote:

Hamm has a better relationship with the recruiting side of it.

TexAgs has Logan Lee doing most of their recruit interviews and I really enjoy those, Logan seems to connect well with the recruits since he has gone through it and gets some good info. It has taken a step backwards though since Brandon Leone left.

He's going to get more in depth interviews,

I would probably agree with this though, while the interviews that Logan gets are excellent they are fairly brief in nature so you probably get more depth from 247.

quote:

bit more reasonable and realistic than TexAgs on where recruits are leaning.

I have to disagree on here as well ... I have been a TA subscriber for a several years and the only major recruiting bust I have ever seen was the LB who was committed but signed with OU, that is probably the only recruiting bust I have seen from Liucci.

quote:

Whenever someone on a different site makes fun of Looch he gets hyperdefensive

Absolutely correct and incredibly annoying. He does the same when his subscribers disagree with him.

quote:

not a homogeneous group of cocksuckers like on TexAgs.

Going out of order but it ties into my last comment ... in periods where there is a lot of opinions floating around, the Liucci opinion will almost always take over in the group think and be gospel. I almost canceled my subscription during the coaching search not because of the content, which was/is excellent, but because of the dbag posters whose canned response is "I trust Liucci's opinion over yours", gets incredibly annoying.

What is really funny is how much Hamm and Looch hate eachother

Can not be understated, the saga of did Hamm have a job offer from TexAgs and what the offer actually was provided tons of hilarity due to Billy getting hyperdefensive. Although I personally dislike Hamm ever since I found out his goal is to be Texas A&M's version of Geoff Ketchum. No one who wants to model them self after that tool is worth my time.

As a result of the Corey Nelson fiasco, I would say almost 30% of texags users were permabanned within a week of signing day.

I definitely agree to a point, but if you ever meet Hamm ask him about the Floyd Raven saga. He wouldn't be an Ag without Hamm. I think he makes an effort to develop more personal relationships. Its not a big deal really in the grand scheme of info. It is essentially the same.

I hate this and I hate that reasonable dissent is dismissed and massive spin is put in to place. Jim Wilson and Looch are friends. When Jim was spearheading the new coaching search, etc and people on the boards started talking about the "good old boy" network, it was quite apparent the TexAgs stance was to shite all over such ludicrous things. How dare anyone try and connect the dots. And this isn't to bash Jim Wilson. I have met his wife, she is a charming lady, and by all accounts he's doing a great job on the BoR, but the mere charade of placing him in charge, spending who knows how much on a "third party" search committee in tandem, just screamed that a show was being put on. Now, I'm in no way complaining about the results, just don't like that the whole TexAgs machine can smother any reasonable questions.
