I didn't even have Internet until like 1998 and then didn't know what a message board was until 2006

There were definitely message boards around back then. I was posting on Tider Insider, using my dialup modem and AOL as my ISP when DuBose was coaching and up until thru Shula (had cable internet by then.
I was very experienced with plane tracking and coaching searches, that's for damn sure.
That was also around the time I was in college and in my 20's, so that's the type of shite I suffered thru when I went to a lot of games each year.
Just makes the success we are having now, that much sweeter.

Under Shula it was pretty bad. Most of the fan base was in denial. Bama fielded some good defenses and had some good individual players but the leadership just wasnt there. Bama fans were in love with players like Simeon Castille, Wesley Britt, and Rudy Griffin. I think it was similar to the way some Mississippi State fans are today but no one had invented grinding, and then there was/is the whole Bear/history/selfrighteousness thing.
