He is still not my first choice. It makes us look desperate.

I'll support the team if BMFP coaches.

I won't agree with the decision, as I don't believe he's a good choice in the longterm, but I'll still show up at JHS and cheer like mad.

Don't think JJ or the Prez will make this move. I'll be shocked if it happens.

But I'll still be an AU fan. Heck, I didn't leave when Chizik was hired.

I'll still be here no matter who takes the headset.

I'll give him my support because after the Iron Bowl, I'm convinced he's the only guy we have a realistic shot at that has the ability to turn this thing around.

And Petrino offense + BVG defense = fapfapfap

I'm with the on field Patrino. I'm just not sold on the off field Patrino. The recruiting guy.

And Im not talking about schemes. fundamentals like basic tackling and DB play were just terrible. Didnt look like they got coached for shite.

He came into the situation Chizik had fostered in.. He coached "under" Chizik- meaning he had very little say.. Those players were pussified from what I can tell.. I'd say give BVG time under the new coach, and let discipline surface again.

I was hating on BVG earlier this year, but it doesn't make any sense that a proven defensive coach like him would totally fail at AU.. Hell, look at Roof.. Penn State's D is pretty solid.

I think all fingers point to Chizik and the atmosphere he set that didn't hold players accountable and let them do as they please.. Of course I'm just speculating.

His offense on the field is as potent as his offense off the field. he can knock down all the broads he wants as long as he racking up w's in the win column... Seriously though it's gonna take someone with a lot more discipline than Petrino to compete with bammer on a consistent basis.

IIRC, Petrino runs a pretty disciplined program. Doesn't allow alot of BS from his players. I've rarely heard about many Arkansas players getting into trouble under Petrino

What leads you to believe Patrino's teams weren't disciplined? The guy took 3 stars and turned them into NFL caliber players.. To coach a player up, discipline is essential.. He had very little off the field player issues.

yea i dont understand his post either. but admittedly i dont know much about how tight of a ship he ran at arky or l'ville. but certainly dont recall hearing tales of players running wild. disciplined style of play maybe?

Yeah, from a single incident that gained 58 points only because a charge happy DA was involved.

ETA: And Patrino wasn't there when that incident occurred.

From off the field problems that occurred under JLS, not Petrino
