Here is the latest from PM. This is from someone that many believe has insider status.
"If he's reinstated, everything remains sealed under student privacy law guidelines. Another factor in Mike's favor. If he's booted from school, every detail will eventually become public, which is going to be a black eye on the university for the way in which they've handled this. And for the young lady involved, well it's going to be as ugly as the Kobe Bryant accuser's case.
TiS, you say no case is a "slam dunk," well that case was. She accused Kobe of raping her in his hotel room, his team or attorneys and investigators found out she had three different, random dudes each of the three nights prior to meeting Kobe, when presented with that character-based evidence, she recanted her story and case closed.
The same was true in this case. When the prosecutor saw the evidence from Mike's phone, a veritable porn novel of all the things she was going to do to his D, he didn't bother pursuing it. The young lady, still holding a strong degree of malice towards Mike for not wanting a relationship with her, took the Student Conduct Board approach because she believed it would help her to keep her name clean. A civil case against him would not, but a campus "case" would due to student privacy laws.
The bottom line here is that the known facts are the two had sex, pre- and post-rut there are text messages from the young lady that certainly make it appear as if the sex was more than consensual, a prosecuting attorney didn't even want to touch the case, and now Mike is held up in a mire of campus politics that involves gender issues, veto power between the chancellor and campus committees, and the jealous line in the sand drawn between athletics and academics. Basically it sucks. IMO Mike should be playing and I think it is unfair for the Student Conduct Committee to judge this case alongside any past, utterly unrelated situations. I know it's supposedly within their "power" to do so, but I still think it is crap. It's fair to state that Mike has been inconsistent as a student, but he's still on track to graduate, and in any instance when Mike has been admonished or punished for anything academic related, he's handled it like a man, accepted punishment and learned from it. If Mike had multiple legal close calls and then this happened, well you're talking another story then, but that's not the case. His other past "strikes" against him fall on the academic side, and to me it's simply bullshite to lump the two together.
The university needs to allow Mike to put this in his past, concentrate on finishing school and competing on the basketball floor with his teammates. That's my take on it."

If she is not being truthful then she should face the Board and face expulsion.
