re: Increasing the Texas Foothold

Obviously Baylor doesn't just bring the "Wacko" market (real clever dig there bro). We are a prestigious university located in one of the biggest states in the country, within very short driving distance of 4 major cities (Houston, Austin, DFW, and San Antonio). Naturally, our alumni populate these cities and generate heavy enthusiasm every time those Baylor Bears take the field.

In all seriousness, this is the time to make the play and grab Baylor. Heisman trophy last year, 10 win season last year, heavy publicity and accolades surrounding the team, and a coach rapidly rising through the college football ranks. Yes, we're rebuilding a little this year, but the dropoff has been minimal and the product on the field is still superb. If the SEC doesn't act soon, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pac-12 make a play to get a Baylor-UTexas package deal.
