With the site merger, we should have an introductory thread. A shite ton of retards/decent posters mixed in here, and I (others as well) would like to know the history of everyone. You know... To see who we should take seriously.

Who are you?

Why are you a fan?

Did you go to UGA?

Degree if any?

Go.

My name is Chris. I'm a fan be because I was born in Athens, in 1980. It would be sacrilage if I was a fan of anyone else. I have a degree, but not from UGA. I went to school at Valdosta State. It's hard to beat a scholorship versus out of state tuition plus trying to walk on at Georgia (I moved to north Florida in 1992). Going to a different university may bother some of you, but I am, and will always be a dawg. And just to be clear, I did have offers to GT and GSU. The shear hatred for those schools made my decision a lot easier!

I'll play.

Born and raised in Sandersville, GA. Been a huge UGA fan my whole life. Family moved to south TN due to almost my whole family living there and dad finally got a job there and whatnot. Went to middle school, high school, and am currently in school studying Business Management and Marketing in TN.

Would have went to UGA if out of state tuition wasn't a shite ton. Wasn't smart enough to get that paid for.

Having said that, during my banland time from here, I found a great little place called Dawgrant and now I root for UGA.

Like I said UGA, 'This is your time!!! Now, Go out there and take it!!!!!!"

Dad was a trainer for the football and baseball teams in the 80's, Grandpa was a frat brother with Fran Tarkenton, Mom went to UGA, Grandma went and worked in the Administration offices for a time. And, now, my fiancee is a UGA alumna.

I, however, did not attend UGA. Had the opportunity to, but I've spent my whole life going to games in Athens (family has had season tickets since the 300 level was built) and the route I wanted to take was and has turned out to be much better at a different university.

I now have a Bachelors and a Masters and in a few years I should be working on a Phd through Ga State. Yet, I still hold on to hope that one day I might have the time and money to fit in another Master's degree, this time from UGA. Won't say it doesn't gnaw at me that the school and town I love so much has no record of me ever attending. But that just seems to make sense in a weird sort of way. I think it would have ruined our relationship, me and UGA, if we were to ever have been that close.

Im saturdayinAthens from the dawgrant, just signed up here recently because I finally felt I had something to say.
Been a fan since I can remember, love Athens, and almost everything about it. There's nothing like a Saturday in Athens.
I don't go, and have never gone to UGA, out of high school my grades werent good enough, so I attended another college, and once I settled in there, I decided to stay put.
Come may, I plan on having my degree in marketing.

I was a lurker for about 9 months at DawgRant. I tried to get an account, but guess it was after the SBJ meltdown. Got redirected here and got my account in <1 hr.

I have been a UGA fan for as long as I can remember. My great-grandfather trained Army Air Guard pilots at the Athens campus during WWI.

I did not attend UGA. I got my BS in Biology from Newberry College in SC. Yes, I am from SC. Other than my grandfather, all my family are cock fans. Imagine the HELL i went through on Oct.6. Now imagine the HELL i put them through on Oct 27.

THAT IS ALL....

Brandon ill get the other out of the way before the story if why I'm a fan. No degree for some reason I knew it all and did t want to do what dad said. I have a daughter who will be attending UGA in a cpl years. Degree from life sorry ya guess I'm a sidewalk. I work in nuclear power as a maintainence coordinator. Cool thing I have two clemson and one tech grad working for me. I moved to sc from va in 03. I was a UVA cavalier fan for most of my childhood went to school with the best qb they ever had Shawn Moore. When I moved to sc I was immediately bombarded by USCe and Clempson fans telling me I needed to pick a local team that I live here and raising kids here I should pic their team. So I thought about it I love going to games I love tailgating so to their dismay and disgust I chose a team one my sister went to and niece attends now. UGA. I am a dog and like I was I adopted them as my own not because someone told me I had to so sidewalk that I will not deny but diehard I am good bad I don't give a damn. Go Dawgs!!!!

frick it, why not...

Okay, name's Robby (obviously), born and raised in the north Georgia area. Lived here all my life except when I was in the Army.

Didn't graduate from UGA, or any college for that matter. Had to put school on hold one qtr away from graduation for mechanical and architectural drafting from the local Technical College though.

Been a Dawgs fan all my life. My mom told me that when I was first learning to talk I used to say "George the bulldog". Never liked anybody else.

Why no major college? Had the brains (4.0 and Dean's list at the tech school) but also had 4 kids. I'm 34 and my oldest boy is 19, so do the math on that shite.

Oh, and I had the same handle on the Dawgrant, where I posted since '09, but kind of sporadically since I was the only one working for years and we were always broke. No money, no interweb.

So, take me seriously or dont, IDGAF. Damn right Go Dawgs!!!

My name is David. I'm a Navy brat. I was raised all over the south but I have been a Dawg for as long as I can remember. I'm a Marine and have been for the past 10 years. I did not attend UGA although I was accepted. I chose to join the military instead. Part of me wishes I would have went to UGA but I doubt I'd be the man that I am today had I done so.

I'm a father of a beautiful baby boy who has yet to wear anything other than a GA outfit on Saturday. I say "we".

born into the brotherhood, kind of. my moms dad had gone a year at UGA back in his day and had always been a lifelong dawg. due to my living situation and i guess a little bit of favortism my grandpa always took me Georgia games where he and my grandma had 5 season tickets. i went to my first game before i was a year old and in my life i honestly have no # to say for how many games i have seen. as long as i have been cognizant i have rooted for Georgia and from 2002 on i have developed an irrational passion for the dawgs.

started my college career at penn state looking to do something different. i realized that arctic conditions and yankees wasn't exactly the route i was hoping for and i decided to home to UGA. best decision i have made in my life thus far.

Who are you?

Formerly known as meatgoggles on dawgrant and might have to revert back to something of that nature because one of those swamp rats seems to have a similar handle (mantis toboggan md) which always causes controversy when I post on the secrant board.

Why are you a fan?
I bleed red and black always have and always will

Did you go to UGA?

GATA
Rufus
GATA AGAIN
Boss Dawg
Earnest T Bass
Anakin Dawg Walker
Lord of the Board
Jawja Girl
Wild Dawg
Senor Score
Bark Vader
Junkyard Dawg

and a bunch more that don't immediately come to mind. I always posted as GATA except when SBJ would get liquored up and ban me. During the end game I found an admin on the take that would reinstate me. Of course SBJ couldn't remember due to being in a blackout whenever he was logged in. By the time it was over SBJ had given me his log in details and I had fun pretending like I knew what to do with IP addresses. I still take a bit of pride from going from the most hated and banned poster by SBJ to becoming a partner. It was funny as all get-out giving the, I'm going to make us all millionaires speech and watching old boy swallow the hook.

I went to UGA and got a BBA.

I'm a fan because I don't know how not to be.

Go Dawgs!
