Everyone says this, but no one really knows if the NCAA would have accepted that. The AD said there was no way the school would get a bowl ban, so I can't imagine him saying that without having some basis for that remark. Obviously it didn't work out

If they had self-imposed then not gotten a ban they cost the conference $ and they cost the seniors of last year a chance to play in a bowl game...and practices etc for this year

I'm certainly glad OSU didn't get the bowl ban last year.

This is the odd thing. The AD, of all people, should know that the cardinal sin that can be committed is lying to NCAA officials, which is what CJT did. I'm still amazed at the wrist slap, but it's a done deal now.
