I mean who else would win it at this point?

Unless he throws 6 interceptions this week, he gets it.

Tonight helped. He probably deserves it. Does A&M win against #1 Alabama on the road without him? No, probably not.

His only problem is history--that whole freshman thing.

He should. However, it looks like the national media is pimping the Mormon Te'O after his 6 tackle performance against the Mighty Deacons.

unless he shits the bed next week.

yes

If he doesn't win it, then no freshman ever will.

I believe he will barring a last minute shitfest.

Klein lost a lot of push, you can't choke in that big of a nationally televised game. Te'o, as great he he will be at the next level, I don't see enough of an impact consistently to say he's the best in the Country. He's not making LaVar Arrington plays every week.

Tajh Boyd, Marquis Lee, and Tavon Austin should be up there too...

Unless he blows against Mizzu or Teo has the game of his life against USC, Manziel will win it.

I don't see how he doesn't win it. Unless AJ loses his mind and throws 14 touchdown passes in the next two weeks. Manziel has had an incredible year.

Should be Johnny/Te'o/McCarron at the top after tonight, still time for that to change. Maybe Johnny chokes, Te'o loses ND the game, and AJ breaks records against UGA....

then I wake up.

He sure should - but there's two things against him. Neither of which should matter a darn bit: he's a freshman and the anti-SEC (jealously) sentiment. Plus I guess a third, Notre Dame is actually relevant for the first time in nigh on 20 years and when the biased voters don't want to give the Heisman to a righteous offensive player, they start hunting for a defensive player they can claim is the greatest ever.

JFM deserves it and if he finishes out against Mizzou like he should, there's no reason (except probable bias against freshmen) why he should not hoist the trophy in NY.
