Combined for 5.5 sacks, 11 TFL, 7 QB Hurries (they have more but they're only credited with 7), 3 Forced Fumbles, and 2 PBUs.

Mingo/Montgomery have combined for 11 sacks, 17.5 TFL, 13 QB Hurries (probably have a couple more), 1 Forced Fumble, and 5 PBUs.

Adrian/Dickson are Sophomores and have played against better OL. Mingo/Montgomery are Juniors.

Don't really think comparing them to a duo who has also had a down year makes it any better. Montgomery is the only good college player out of the LSU duo, while Mingo status is based on his potential in the NFL. He has never been an dominant player and likely won't be one in an LSU uniform.

The stats don't really do a passrush justice regardless. It's not always about recording a statistic, it's forcing a QB to make a quick decision and likely a bad one on a 4 man rush.

Bama doesn't get that often, they have to blitz and double blitz safeties to flush a QB or force a throw more times than not. Mosley is the best passrusher on the team right now, but blitzing him opens the middle and takes him out of coverage.

You can still have a really good defense and not have a good passrusher, and Bama has done it before and is doing it now. The Secondary wouldn't look as spotty as it has at times with a good passrush, but instead Lester, Sunseri, and Perry are pushed into covering longer than they can. And when that happens, a receiver gets free.

I hope Hubbard becomes the player he was billed to be the coming years, but it's not there for him right now. I'm not even sure how much Dickson is even on the field, but I assume it's not that high in pass rush situations especially...
