Alabama beat LSU by 4 in the last minute,yet the Tide's band proclaimed "we just beat the hell out of you" ?
Why is okay when Alabama does something like you described?

Because "narrowly escaped by the skin of our teeth" is difficult to fit in lyricly

This.
It pisses me off when our fan base wants to scream this after every win. We got our asses beat that game, yet our band feels the need to play it.
just another thing that makes us look stupid.
