I hate to be 'that guy' but why does it matter of he's a starter?

I did not take it as though it mattered. Now that this situation is brought to the board's attention, the board has expressed the reasonable concern and hopes that he will be found and okay.

The question was more along the lines of learning a bit more about him.

Might he have been disgruntled by being buried on the depth chart and walked off of the team?

Had he been a starter but lost his position (same idea)

so, it was not as if he mattered more if he played. It was "could he have gotten disheartened and quit the team in a snit" Obviously, we would all rather THAT than he be in danger

Thomas Johnson is a 4-star recruit who decommitted from Texas on signing day. He is A&M's 3rd leading receiver and has started at least 2 games this year. He had 1 (long) TD catch against La. Tech and has had several key plays for first downs throughout the season.

There's nothing to be "disgruntled" about when you aren't the starter over 3 seniors and Mike Evans. Assuming that he is found and nothing bad happens, he is almost a lock to start next season.

Hope they find him tonight. As they always stress on that A&E show "the first 48", chances go down alot that it ends well at the end of that first 48 hour time period that he was initially discovered to be missing.

That's understandable. Like I said, didn't want to be "that guy" but your line of reasoning would be one of the ideal outcomes
