He is putting up u real numbers in the SEC. I have to believe he will at least get an invite to NYC for the Heisman presentation.

2,780 yds passing and 18 TDs
1,014 yds rushing and 15 TDs

I wonder if Sumlin let's him play much this week.

Invite, yes. Heisman, no.

Just like Adrian Peterson in 2004.

He should win it IMO. His play has been exceptional.

I'd say he's the new frontrunner right now. Granted that means nothing since there seems to be a new guy every week. He'll have plenty of opportunities to rack up stats in his last two games, but playing against Sam Houston and Mizzou, he has to hope A&M doesn't get lost from the spotlight. Which will probably happen.

J3 deserves an invite. Not going to top Kline, Barner or Te'o. Klein IMO is the best CFB player, doesn't mean he will win though.

If Texass beats KSU... he has a good chance. Lots of media support right now.

Not on a two loss team and a team that was not in the media until the last couple of weeks.

In my opinion, Klein has really lacked that "heisman moment" that the media looks for. He is clearly the best player on the number one team, but who are their quality wins? Their big win is over OU in Norman where Notre Dame (a team most view as overrated and on borrowed time as it is) came in and thumped them twice as hard.

The BIg XII is not a strong conference and really lacks quality at the top. The lack of marquee wins and games really hurts Klein. Not to mention he's had some pretty mediocre games along the way.

He should win it.

He's the best SEC player since Cam, and will only get better.

I think he's better and more outstanding than Klein, and if he was on that team, they would be undefeated. I'm not so sure A&M only has two losses if Klein takes Johnny's place.

Can he win? doubtful. Should he win? Absolutely. He is the best player in CFB.

Fact: Only five freshmen have notched top-10 finishes.

Fact: Just three have made it to New York as Heisman finalists.

FRESHMEN IN THE HEISMAN VOTE

Name, Finish, Year
Hershel Walker, 3rd, 1980*
Emmitt Smith, 9th, 1987
Marshall Faulk, 9th, 1991
Michael Vick, 3rd, 1999*
Adrian Peterson, 2nd, 2004*

I think he is about to join 3 other esteemed college players and will be the 4th freshman to travel to NY. I doubt he wins, but he'll have accomplished something very few have ever done.

He sealed a trip to New York for sure. A chance? Yes, he has a chance.
