He's in his late 20's, which to me is still pretty much a kid, who grew up tweeting and all those type things. I see what you're saying but I've seen AD's, Presidents and Commissioners (I'm thinking Delaney, Gee, etc) put out some really silly stuff. I think too much is being made of this and suspect it's mainly a blogosphere thing.

Just because other people are classless and unprofessional doesn't make it right. If you are representing a university, which he clearly is, your comments are held to a higher standard than joe blow fan.
In my opinion, he should issue an apology for targeting and degrading an individual student athlete in his attempt to highlight his team's achievements.
