The conference change is the difference

Well, that and a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, a new defensive coordinator, new position coaches, new systems, and a new quarterback.

Don't be butthurt, Clay. I'm sure Tech/Baylor/t.u./whichever team for whom you pull will be fine.

Ignoring reality/facts/history to conclude aTm suddenly is one of the best teams in the country because they can hang in the sec. They changed conferences.

The rankings say we are one of the best teams in the country.

Where did I say we were one of the best teams in the country? The AP pollsters & coaches may have indicated that; I did not. And what does a Texas A&M team with different coaches, players, schemes, and attitudes have to do with changing conferences?

Clay, where did/do you go to school? For what team do you pull on Saturdays? I'm genuinely curious.

Clay, if that were true then why isn't Mizzo competing in the SEC?

Bottom line, aTm paid $$$ for a Defensive Coordinator that knew his sheit, has an outstanding QB that should (but won't) win the Heisman, and is on track to win 10 games before the bowl game this year.

This team would absolutely run the table in the Big 12 with the only possible exception being Kansas State, which admittedly would be a close game that I believe TAMU would win.

I do like Sumlin. I think he was a great choice and will do good things. I was rooting for the Ags this weekend. I'm just realistic and see the sec is not what it once was. The move has helped aTm in the short run and I believe will in the long run as well. A good decision. They were going to remain at the bottom of the Big 12.

Eh, it's pretty relative. Would A&M beat Bama had they not played against LSU and Florida caliber defenses first? Running through the Big 12 sure as hell wouldn't have prepared us to play our first real defense in the supposed championship game against Bama.

The rankings 3 weeks ago said Miss. St. was the 12th best team in the country. Whoops.

KSU
OU
tu
Tech
West Virginia
TCU
Okie lite
Iowa State
Baylor
Kansas

the #3 & 4 teams almost lost to kansas, thats right kansas

im pretty sure Georgia Bama USC FLorida LSU A&M could all go through the big 12 and come out with 1-2 losses at the most (against all 10)

your best team would probably go 3-3 if kstate played those 6 gtfo with that big 12 shite

And considering LSU and UF are better than aTm, it would have been a crime to have them in the NC this year because they're not one of the best teams in the country.

We are better that Florida. They'd already had a tune up, whereas it was our first game of the year. It was also Manziel's first start and the team's first game with new coaches & in new schemes. We had a very conservative game plan and threw maybe 3 downfield passes all game. In short, they had every advantage and they still just barely beat us. If we were to play them next week, we'd attack the entire field as opposed to just doing side to side shite, and I think we win 8-9x out of 10. Their offense is just atrocious.

The LSU loss was agonizing because we did so many things wrong and still were in it until the end, but I think you guys are the better team (our dumbass mistakes were more or less cancelled out by Mett barely missing prolly 2 open TD passes). You probably win that game 7-8x out of 10.
