The most annoying thing about knowing who you actually are is that I'm forced to read every word of your posts in that nagging, Droopy Dog voice you have.

Or are you convinced Sumlin could rule the Big 12 for years to come regardless of who he plugs in at QB?
Meh.
Sumlin has a knack of finding himself surrounded by elite QBs.
Don't forget, JM was not highly touted and recruiting is better now than ever (yes, ever).
If you're implying this thing will derail when HM's gone, you should first think of all we'll accomplish while he's here and how that will affect our recruiting.

I'd much rather play dominos at the big boy table, than be the best at checkers with the kids.

funny that a mizzou fan chimes in. i never realized that you won a big 12 championship

At this point, I would easily choose a&m before Texas if I was a recruit

No doubt. A&M in the west has 3 NC winners over the last 6 years. This year it was 4 with UF game. That's a considerable step up.

Actually I think the quote is "It's better to serve in heaven than to reign in hell".

oh, and BTW, aTm never was "running the Big 12".

I'm not reading this thread but my answer is I would rather contend. I'm too young to remember our 80s and 90s success, the big 12/swc means nothing to me. already had a blast at the games this year, can't wait to travel next year.

The company is better in Heaven (the SEC) than in Hell (the Big 12).

When Johnny Football is gone, what then?
Whatever monster QB we pick up by dominating Texas recruiting. Check the recruiting rankings - we were on our way before this season started and things are only getting better with amount of success we're having.
You may not have watched our scrub-time in blowout games, and I don't blame you if you haven't, but Johnny's backup is actually MORE efficient at running the passing portion of the offense and hits routes Johnny never sees, he just isn't as electric an athlete.

The move to the SEC has been an absolute blessing and its been much better than the Big 12. That's a tough question, as other than maybe 2 years we never "ruled" the Big 12 and ruling it would be pretty awesome, but atleast for me I love the level of competition the rest of the SEC forces us to play at. Plus seeing the likes of LSU, Florida, and other perennial powerhouses on our schedule is pretty humbling and incredible.

I count three or so people in this thread that need a serious lesson in reading comprehension.

Yes, without a doubt.

How many times does this question have to be asked?
There is no scenario where Aggies want to be in the Big 12 over the SEC

well, since they can't do either and haven't historically either.
i'd say they'd prefer to conted in BIGXII and hope for mediocrity in the SEC West (3rd/4th place)

SEC hands down
1st, we just fit in the SEC better, no need to go into what makes the SEC so great(game venues, money generated, etc. etc.), everyone knows it on here.
The exposure a team gets in the SEC compared to the Big 12, major plus.
I know Auburn got screwed in 04 but since then, there is no concern about being left out of the top game if you win your games. Good chance KSU will get hosed this year even if they go undefeated, major knock on the Big 12. Let's say we were still in the Big 12 this year and went 12-0, we would get screwed as well. Only teams in the big 12 that would not are OU and sips.

A&M has literally never come close to ruling in the big 12, they would have lost games to KSU, OU, and if history is any indicator probably Tech

I didn't say they did, but inferred that they would be maybe this year...
