There was some discussion regarding the Snowbowl 12 celebration (?) going on for the State vs A&M game last week.

The narrative being put out by some State fans was that A&M was all on board and agreed to commemorating the game.

An interview with Jason Cook (VP of Marketing for A&M, MSU Alum) on College Station radio, Cook stated that there was no interest on the A&M side in commemorating that game and that he actually worked with Adidas and ESPN on the black unis in an attempt to try to "steal the spotlight".

So if any of you still believe that A&M was all into the idea and that we "agreed" to is, you are being fed a load of crap by someone.

The fact that A&M acknowledged a "spotlight" to be stolen proves they hold an equally distorted view of the significance of that Independence Bowl.

This State fan thinks it was silly to "commemorate" a pitiful bowl game because it snowed. It was still the Independence bowl. But I really don't give a shite what A&M thinks.

Who in hell would want to commemorate a bowl game in Shreveport, regardless of the weather conditions?

Hate to burst your bubble, but there was no spotlight to be "stolen".
