Eh, State's overrated, but they're still a fairly good team and we beat the crap out of them on the road. We would have shellacked Ol Miss too (we moved the ball with ease), but nobody on our team could hang onto the damn ball.
We're a pretty good team this year, but we're not quite elite. Our players are still getting used to the new schemes, qb's a fish, new conference, our defensive depth is nonexistent...
Problem for you frickers is that almost to a man, every talking head (and most A&M fans) thought we'd go 5-7 to 6-6 this year. Yet we're gonna finish 9-3 in our first year with a puncher's chance at 10-2 (and a great shot at win 10 in the bowl game either way). This is hardly the best Sumlin and the current players can do. We're gonna get much better.

Yeah, well, how many people said before the season that Arkansas and Auburn would suck as bad as they do this year?
Or that Florida would have one loss?
It's not like A&M was the only surprise this year.
But you won't get any respect until you beat one of the Big 6 teams. Auburn doesn't count this year. Even Vandy beat them.

Who did Tebow beat in 2007?
He was 2-4 against teams that finished ranked. Manziel will likely finish 2-3 in such games pending a bowl. Five of Tebow's nine wins that year were against sub-.500 teams and a sixth, FSU, finished 6-6.

No, "the problem is" that you aggies are trying to shove JM down our throats & he's only played little more than half a season. Losing to the 2 best teams he's played todate. And as for his stats, take out the stats from the game against that Div 2 team & La. Tech & the numbers become definitive. This type of hype is what turned so many SEC fans against Tebow, and I am a big Tebow fan. Let the kid play some more meaningful games & he won't need anyone blowing his horn. All long term SEC fans know what it takes to be called great as we know just how difficult this league is. And playing only 6-7 games in a career is far from proof that he is the next college football god.
