Do you guys still think your team is Gods gift to football? They are certainly not as advertised in my opinion. Not a flame, I was just surprised at how well this LSU team matched up. Maybe I wasn't giving our team enough credit though.

They certainly aren't as cocky about their team as they were before this game.

And I think all of the comparisons to last year's defense are done. This one isn't in the same galaxy.

You probably won't get many people admitting it. But you can tell from the tone today that many of our less mature fans are a bit quieter.

LSU had a 22 game home winning streak. No one was beating them in Death Valley. We did.

Are we 1995 Nebraska? No. Are we beatable? Yes. Will anyone beat us in the regular season? Doubtful.

No. They just have to be better than the team they are playong. So far, they are. And will be favored the rest of the way.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am amazed at this team. I was very concerned about 4 games. One of those self destructed before the season started. We have passed 2 of the great concerns.
So if anything I am raised higher above the earth each week that passes.

No they aren't. Only a loss will deflate that attitude. They still think they had a bad game and managed to win.

I think most of us were realistic before this game. Of course I'm sure you fixate on the few trolling idiots.

It was a great game. LSU outplayed us badly in the second half. But we managed to win. We are good as advertised...and LSU is a lot better than I thought.

The "AJ for Heisman" talk certainly seems to have taken a turn for the worse. He's not an elite QB.

I think your assessment doesn't give LSU enough credit. #1 vs. #5 with #5 having an extra week to prepare...Why shouldn't the contest have gone down to the wire? I've seen a lot of LSU fans on here trying to discredit the win for Bama by talking down their own team, can't say I really get it.

I don't think you were giving your team enough credit. I had them as the best group returning, IF they found a balanced O. They did last night.

Nice moral victory. By the way, in 2009, Alabama needed a blocked FG to beat Tennessee and a last second drive to beat Auburn. We won a national title.

Yes.

We won on the road in the SEC against a good opponent that had obviously game planned for this one game for an entire year.

Our QB was injured in last weeks game and didn't practice all week. His timing was off but he got into enough of a rythm to pull it out.

Great win for our team, we took LSU's best shot and survived.

jesus fricking christ, it was one game. you guys had pretty much everything going your way, bye week, home field, and AJ had an off night. Did your 'prevent' d allow us to score 14 points in the 1st half, or run all over you for 7 ypc? sure you put up lots of yards, but not because ther is anything wrong with our D, they were on the goddamn field for 40 minutes. and that is mostly due to our bizarre play calling in the 2nd half. you guys were keyed into the pass, so we should have been running, but instead we kept try to pass on 1st and 2nd down instead of running it right at you. we should have done run untill you had to adjust, but instead we kept giving you the ball over and over with incompletions. if you factor in time of possession, our d actually performed marvelously.
