Revenge could have played a part in that game. But I think they wanted to prove they were the best team in the country. They had been ridiculed, and shite on by some media members and college football fans for making it to the BSCNC game. Many folks in the nation felt Bama didn't deserve to be in the game. That team wanted more than anything to prove that not only did they belong in the title game, they wanted to remove ALL doubt about who was the best when that game was over.
