You are putting words in Saban's mouth. He said he preaches to all of his players to be mentally tough and "bury the pain" on every play. He said he gets irritated at times with some of his players that don't practice like he wants them to - they have aches and pains in practice and don't give it their all in practice and they may try to ease up at times during practice because of soreness/aches, etc. "But, when they get on the field and the ball is on the ground, those boys COME TO PLAY."

He said, "they buried their pain" in that LSU game and it showed in their execution.
