Ole Miss fans, how did these events impact your program in the modern era? I feel like they are tied together but I can't appropriately relate them. . . Specifically, the perception of Ole Miss vs. the perception of the other SEC schools

There's a stigma but the main source of our perpetual ineptitude has been the amazing incompetence of our athletic department.

The football program...really hasn't had significant effects. Ole Miss has the problem of being a small school (relative to the SEC) and in a poor state.

There are of course still "ghosts" of those events. The whole "The South Will Rise Again" debacle and Colonel Reb. The ghosts still live in the culture, but it's not really that relevant to the football program.

It's not like Alabama's integration was much smoother.
