Maybe nobody's asking because they know there's no reason. I happened to catch the PNJ sports editor on the radio last week (97.3 in Birmingham). His picture is in the dictionary under butthurt.

He said straight up that nothing would come of the visit. His exact quote was 'at worst they will be told to not sign Paige'.

His repeatedly said that Alabama broke no rules, he just didn't like what happened and wanted the NCAA to pass a new rule.

I wish the interviewer had asked him where he went to school. He had a disproportionate level of indignation over what he openly admitted was perfectly permissible. He's mad for some reason other than a Bama coach influencing where a kid goes to high school.

Whole situation is overly unneeded.

A high school kid needs more credits than possible at current high school over the next year and a half. Also, current high school is absolutely terrible at football.

Another high school 20 miles away has a different block system and can offer enough credits for player to pass and has a great football program that has graduated 3 elite level players in the last 4 years.

College coach points this out to player, player applies for transfer to new school.

What is the problem here?

Without the transfer, Paige would have been 100% ineligible for college because he could get enough credit hours to pass. Now he can at the new school.
