You're new to the SEC. LSU/Auburn has had some big time slobber knocker type games for the past 10 to 15 years. Animosity between the two runs pretty deep. The whole time that Bama was in the shitter for the better part of the 2000s, it was between Auburn and LSU for the west and the winner still got his arse kicked.
MSU is much the same way as far as physical games between the two.
