We'll see. I don't think Ricky will have much to analyze regarding LSU's offense next weekend. That bodes well for us.

That's the entire point. I wasn't going to go tit for tat on this, but Manziel's deep ball looks a lot worse that Mett's. We don't have a legitimate deep threat at reciever that can highpoint and beat a 6' CB. When Mett goes deep, more often than not it's really just a throwaway because our smaller recivers are already tangled up before he releases. We've seen in open practices and the spring game, where the recievers weren't getting pushed around as much, that Mett's best passes are deep down the field. It doesn't take a clever coaching staff to point out that if a big physical reciever can avoid being jammed and then beat man coverage, our verticle passing game is a whole different story.

And it doesn't take a clever coaching staff to point out that JM is 7 games into his career and will only get better.

I don't think LSU should attempt to rationalize its perennially dormant passing game.

LSU's best strategy is pushing program prestige.

Not saying Manziel throws the ball well down the field because he doesn't, but if Mett could throw a passable deep ball you would have beaten us by 3 TDs. He looked horrendous throwing the ball deep and missing wide open WRs all over the field.

If RSJ is judging this by QB play and the offense then it would be a no brainer decision. He isn't judging strictly by those things, thus why it will probably come down to the wire.
