Honestly Moo State doesnt have the fan base that will travel real well. Still have tough games to go...but I see Music City in your future.
And you know this how???
If we played in Atlanta we bring 30-40K
If we played in Dallas we'd bring a ton there as well

At best 10-2 at worst 8-4.

What an extremely idiotic post. State had about 7k fans come for a baseball game on a Sunday in Hoover for the SEC Championship game that set a championship game attendance record not involving a school from the state of Alabama. That was baseball.
State fans travel.

Besides all of the media available...lets try the huge stadium you play in...if thats the best you got...it means you cant justify a bigger stadium because you dont have the fannies/$$ to do so
You could not have failed any harder if you tried.
Guess the $100+ mil we've spent on the football program the last 2 years doesn't count, including this expansion...
Travelling attendance smack? Really?
Florida Gator Bowl Attendance - 61,312
Mississippi State Gator Bowl Attendance - 77,497
Explain that to me, seeing how the stadium is what? 70 miles from campus?

Not a dig at MSU. Its a poor state when it comes to $$ or did u not know that? Oh...then Im sorry to have to tell you. Google salaries in the country by state and get back wit me.
No, really? You clearly know nothing about Mississippi or MSU. Google cost of living while you are at it, then compare average gross profit, and get back to me. Salaries are less, cost of living is less by a greater amount = greater individual profit.
What does Florida raise in private athletics donations every season?

The difference in Florida playing in the Gator Bowl and State playing is that Florida had to settle...The Gator Bowl is the best bowl you've been too in what...14 years?
You should compare apples to apples
You should compare apples to apples

?? It is SEVENTY miles! There is no excuse. Was the "best" bowl we had been to in 11 years, but also 550 miles from our campus...
But since you want to compare an "apples to apples" bowl scenario, here you go...
Liberty Bowl all-time attendance records:
1) 2007 MSU vs Central Florida - 63,816
2) 2009 Arky vs East Carolina - 62,742
3) 1991 MSU vs Air Force - 61,497
4) 1989 Ole Miss vs Air Force - 60,128
We've held the Liberty Bowl attendance record for 20 years now, including breaking our own record in 2007.
LINK
There are plenty of things that people can legitimately talk smack about to Mississippi State fans. Travelling attendance for postseason events is NOT one of those things.

Traveling is not the issue...Beating the last 5 on your schedule will be a lot harder than you think...
You might eek out 1-4

Hog fan, I will have to say that of every damn team in the SEC we play that the freaking 'Hogs have had our number. Well , except in '98 when we beat you and kept you from going to the sec championship game vs UTee. That was a great game. Other than that, it's been pretty fugly I sure wish we had already played y'all. What the Hell is wrong with Kniles Davis anyway? His knee still bothering him or what? Is he even getting carries now? Y'all always seem to bring your A game vs us for some reason. Maybe John L will screw something else up before our game.

Knile just doesn't look like he is comfortable at all...He comes back for another season and I would bet he has a good one.
Luckly, Dennis Johnson is averaging over 5 yards per carry and True Freshman Jonathan Williams will be getting looks too (3 catches 150 yards 2 Tds vs. Kentucky).
Happy that we finally get back 2 of our better players in who many believed was the best TE in the conference in Gragg (coming back for OM) and we got CB Tevin Mitchell back last week...
I'm sure you wish you played us in the first couple weeks...I'll say this...If we lose to OM we will lay down the rest of the way. We win and I think we will role on with the players we are getting back.
I say we beat State by 10...but who knows, you could have 4 TO's and we win by 30. You just never know...

Engie just BOOMED the frick out of that greasy arse guido in typical Engie fashion. Pure facts my hat is off to you sir. I had no idea we trumped their bowl attendance in Jacksonville. That is inexcusable.

I agree that wins in the last five games will be harder to come by than any of their first seven games. If the worst case scenario happened, and State was to lose all five, could we conceivably see a MSU v. ULM matchup?
If so, it would only be fitting if the bowl game went into overtime, which would mean ULM played three SEC teams and took each one to OT.

So have your post season plans changed? MSU will struggle to win even one of its last 5 games.
