We're trying to fire our coach two years removed from a mnc.

If Alabama wasn't presently going for its third national championship in four years, would you still be trying to get rid of him?

Spurrier left Florida because of the pressure cooker the fan-base became.

Are you kidding me?

7-5
14-0*
7-5
3-9

He was hired as a defensive guru, yet our defenses have sucked spectacularly since he stepped foot on campus. There's no Ted Roof to blame for Ole Miss hanging over 40 points on us anymore, and now that the Gus Bus has moved on, our offense is an absolute dumpster fire as well. As a fanbase, we've been denying it, but that national championship was a Cam Newton/Gus Malzahn NC, not a Gene Chizik NC. It has become very evident that we were able to win despite the coaching staff, not because of it.

We keep him one more year and allow him to run this program further into the ground and no coach in their right mind would want to even step foot in Lee County. But, it all starts at the top, and until Jay Jacobs is gone, football (and baseball for that matter) will be an SEC bottomfeeder.

ETA: And you should probably get your head our of your butt assuming that our entire world revolves around Alabama.
