LSU has 3 new players on the o line
Looks like lsu's confidence is back and they are starting to click on offense

A&M should be concerned

Classic let down game for LSU after a big win with an early start time.

LSU has pretty much sucked on the road this year in the SEC, only scoring 18 points in 2 games.

If that continues, they won't only lose, they'll get murdered.

I think this one will be close either way.

If we want to talk about Bama, we'll do it on the Bama Board. In the meantime, we'll talk about SEC games on the SEC Rant.

LSU has looked vulnerable. They beat a good team last week and are certainly one of the best teams in the NCAA. The advantages for A&M: we can score a lot of points, even on a good defense, and the game is at Kyle. Still, I don't think we're there yet.

LSU 31
A&M 24

Can y'all the name the good defense y'all have "scored points" on?

Please don't crow about 17 points on UF, either. Scoring 3 times at home isn't a good showing-especially out of this offense (though considering its the first game of the sample I will give you some credit).

Scoring 17 points against Florida at home is completely relevant considering we are playing LSU under the same circumstances ( besides the sucky morning time )

I thought that bullshite gameplan of "we score alot of points" would have already died coming from the big 12 teams. That shite doesn't work in the SEC.

Okay. I'll bite. How many points do you think A&M will score on LSU's NFL Pro-Bowl defense?

You say
quote:

LSU's NFL Pro-Bowl defense
obviously sarcastically, but you do realize this is the best DEF you have faced all year, right?

Y'all won't score more than 3 TD's.

We played a an awesome Florida team, our first game with a new coach, new freshman QB, new O scheme, new D scheme. We didn't get out warm up game against LaTech to work all the kinks out. Yet we still put up 17 and held them to 20, and had every opportunity to win that game.

LSU has shown gapping holes in their offense, and that they aren't immortals this year like we all expected. The game is at Kyle, which makes all the difference in the world. Playing such a high powered, intimidating team such as LSU, the game on both sides will be thoroughly stepped up.

31-27 Texas Aggies.

Pretty sure Florida's D is significantcantly better than LSUs.

I feel like this is such a stupid statement it might not even be worth a response past this.

First off, terrific job spelling.

Second, any stats to say UF's D as a whole is significantly better than ours?

Florida is #13 in total D, allowing 297 yards per game and 4.38 yards per play.

LSU is #2 in total D, allowing 219 yards per game and 3.55 yards per play.

Florida is #6 in scoring D allowing 12.33 while LSU is #8 allowing 14.

LSU is #4 in PE defense, UF is #6
LSU is #6 in rush defense, UF is #20

Florida's defense has been a bit more clutch, but LSU's has been consistently, statistically better all year long.

Of course, the offenses that UF has faced (UT, Texas AM) are way better than anything LSU has seen to this point, so I'm sure that skews that stats a bit, but LSU's D is legit and IMO, a little bit better than Florida's.

Care to elaborate?

Erm USCe won't take kindly to this.

Solid analysis. Can't argue with any of it. Yall's D was good enough for us.

I wonder if the Aggie will acknowledge all that...

I am optomistic since ya'll were shut out at home in the second half against Florida. Even if ya'll put up points in the first half that has to be concerning to you that your powerful offense is susceptible to being shut down for long periods of time.
