As Lou Holtz correctly (and that's a rarity) stated, this is a week-to-week thing. Teams are different every week. If I had to pick the LSU-ALA game right now, I'd give a slight edge to ALA, due to the fact their QB is more experienced. The margin of error for LSU's offense is razor-thin. ALA has a more varied offense and can survive a mistake; LSU however cannot survive w/ mistakes and all these damned dropped passes. I think if Mettenburger is given time he can make the throws, but his pocket awareness is poor. However, ALA still has to play TN and Ms St, will probably win those games, but they'll be physical and they could sustain injuries. So, who knows who is healthy on Nov. 3? So. Car. could very well beat UF this week. UF is NOT going to go unbeaten, they're not that good. Obviously, neither is LSU (good enough to go unbeaten.) Remains to be seen whether ALA is.

Bama is number one team in country right now and playing like it. We're having to figure out things such as who should be on our O Line, and last night went a loong way in that department< but they are clicking on all areas for the most part compared to us.

Yesterday should have been much worse over Missouri but for that long delay. Totally changed the game up.

Maybe. But please play somebody worth a shite first. LSU's D has been more than tested. Bama has 2 pretty big games in the next 2 weeks so we'll see.

So LSU's D has been tested by the 35th and 67th ranked offenses?

I think he is saying LSU has still some issues on offense that they need to work out before Nov. 3rd

We have issuus to fix weekly. Not just before Nov. 3. Good thing is it's all fixable and we seem to be headed in the right direction.

Bama has issues as well. They seem to fall asleep on offense in the second half. Now their QB is in a knee brace. With physical games vs Ut and State it will be interesting to watch.

Only against inferior teams; LSU isn't an inferior team.

Once the starters come out, the offense becomes very vanilla. The back ups have played significant minutes in like 4 of the 6 games so far this year.

Unlike last year when it was crystal clear (to me and many others)that Bama & LSU were the two best teams in the country and would beat anyone else, this year is different and the seperation isnt so wide.

Bama, UF, LSU, USC are capable of beating each other quite truthfully and UGA aint far behind.

As far as OOC teams...I am not sure which teams could be thrown in the same bag as those SEC teams and could out winners.

Im partial and know the UF program quite well. I dont know many teams that have the toughness stamped on them to play in Nashvegas ranked # 4 and in the crosshairs of Vandy with three starters missing on the OL and 1 DL starter along with a starting LB and come out with 2 TD win.
Again...I said "not many" teams...not none.

I agree sadly agree with your post. This is a week-to-week team. Hopefully the SCar is the baseline and we'll improve.

Interesting how the Tigas are already looking ahead to Bama because they play a good game against an SC team that played over their heads the week prior. A&M will give LSU all they can handle and then some.

Ala has won by 21+ppg in 16 of last 20/won 10 of those games by more than 30pts/avg margin of victory is 31ppg in those 19 games/won the last 9 games by 19+ppg

Ala has won 54 out of 60

Jeremy Shelley is perfect on year in FG’s
