Good deal. I'm actually driving from Whitney so I probably need to add another 40 minutes or so to that then.

Pedro, A&M has a new Memorial Student Center that is really nice. If you have time, would highly recommend the Bush Library and the Corp Museum. Takes 1 1/2 hours from Waco but not bad drive now that Hwy 6 is 4 lane.

Go to a restaurant east of campus called Fuego. Get a Juan Pablo. You won't regret it! It is the best taco I've ever had. They have absolutely any type of taco you can imagine. May not sound all that great on a message board, but it won't disappoint. My favorite bars on northgate are paddock, mad hatters, and cedar lane. Hope you enjoy it!
