A&M had the checkbook to get Richt, he just didn't want to leave. He loves UGA and he is a serious family and community man. All he wanted was to feel like he was wanted there and had security. Once that happened he stuck.
I was a fan of getting Richt btw but I am very happy with Sumlin. I think we took a bit more of a risk but it is going to pay off big long term.

i agree, sumlin has surprised me thus far. and we knew richt wouldn't leave for the exact reasons you states. sucks too.
