I'm on the fence about canning Richt mostly because who could we get that's better?

Tennessee has been in a tail spin since Kiffin.

So do we take a chance at sucking regularly or do we keep Richt and wait?

If Chan Gailey gets fired from the Bills, I say we take a chance on him.

There are search committees out there who know the coaches and have a list of who they would leave their current job for. McGarity could hire one of these firms and find out who would be available before the firing is ever done. And if he doesn't like the list he could just wait another year and keep the options open.

Maybe we could make an even swop with OU for Stoops.

Fundamental flaw in your thinking. "WE" don't fire Richt. McGarity, under the watchful eye of the political powers of the State of Georgia fire the Head Coach at UGA. "OUR" opinion does not matter. If it did, he would have been gone years ago.

I choose to support the dude because he is our coach. I choose to enjoy being a fan instead of whining and griping all of the time. These are choices I can make and nobody else can change them.

Go Dawgs!

Ah, the tired old, sniff, sniff, "who could we get to come to poor little ole Georgia" disney deflection rears its mangy head. Boo hoo, we couldn't even get an all white dog, sob, sob.

Give me a frickin break. Fire the mo fo, let McGarity do his job and we will be fine. So what if we go through a couple of coaches? It is not like the mo fo's won't be set for life.

The disneys act like the sky will fall if St Richt is fired. The sky will only fall if you don't keep the coach on a short lease. No more 10 year, automatic rollover contracts. Win within the rules or gtfo, not tomorrow or the next day, but right now.

I really don't want Richt fired; I just want him and his staff to improve. Let's face it. We have a good program. We win most of our games but can't seem to get to the next level. The obvious question is what will it take to get CMR and staff to the next level?

1. First, like in any organization, it's got to be a top-down process. Our administration has to be convinced that the return on investment in winning a NC is worth the capital outlay. That's going to be the hardest part since our football program is already one of the most profitable in college football.

2. Richt needs the go ahead to hire the best staff money can buy. The OL seems to be our main problem. Start there and get someone who can bring in the best OL available. If Friend is the man, then fine, but OL performance must improve.

3. Recruiting in the trenches must improve. We need to be at least 3 deep at every line position rotating all of them in and out often.

4. Get the best DC money can buy. Grantham has improved the defense but we are still having these clueless games like yesterday when the defense looks completely lost/unprepared. Also, I'm not sold on the 3-4 defense especially when it comes to stopping the run against big SEC offenses and bruising RB's like Lattimore. The gaps are just too big giving RB's a dive space into the line that picks up several yards even when the LB's are able to fill the gaps.

5. Recruit better DB's. We are extremely shallow in the secondary and again we should be 3 quality deep on the Corners and at Safety. Our front seven got no pressure on Shaw and our secondary was lost in the Atlantic ocean on way too many plays.

6. Fire whoever is doing the worst job and hire a special teams coach who can take care of business. How many more big games do we have to lose to realize it's a priority?

7. Recruit NFL level QB's who can excel in Richt's pro style offense. Short non-athletic QB's like Murray who can't throw over the line without passes getting tipped all too often don't cut it. 6'3" with decent mobility should be a minimum standard for crying out loud. If you want to be able to run a spread-option offense as needed then recruit a QB who can run it; Murray obviously can't.

8. Go to school, watch other teams, do whatever it takes to introduce more innovation in our offense. There should be a dozen high percentage redzone offense plays ready whenever we get down there. Throwing to one of our smallest receivers, Wooten, on the 1 yard line? Really?

9. Speaking of which, recruit enough OL and big TE's who can block to be able to put in a jumbo package whenever you need it on the goal-line.

10. Instill some daily discipline on your damn teams. I don't care if it takes constant hall monitors to insure they aren't driving illegally, smoking fricking pot or whatever, eliminate the stupidity on and off the field.

11. Which reminds me, recruit smarter players like Gurshall; we get too many dumbasses who either don't qualify or embarrass the team with stupid play. Give'em an IQ test or whatever but we need smarter players.

12. Speaking of which, STOP your stupid recruiting practices. Go to a school of personnel management but for God's sake understand the reality that is attrition and recruit enough players to keep the roster filled with scholarship players. Don't wonder that our players get "whipped" when we don't have enough quality depth to keep them fresh when we penalize ourselves by being down 15 scholarship players. USC has more scholarship players than we do and they are still on probation.

Yeah..we might hire the wrong guy and always lose in big games, have lackluster performances and become predictable and unmotivated.

That would suck...

I don't give a shite who replaces him so long as he's replaced. It's apparent that he can't get done what needs to be done.
