It has taken him some time, but he has built USCe into a very very good team.

When all of my fellow Hog fans keep implying that we can never field a competent defense, I use USCe as an example of what can be done. Sure Clowney is crazy good, but Spurrier has continued to insist upon solid play on the defensive side of the ball. Something Petrino neglected to our detriment.

My hat is off to him and to the entire USCe team. You guys play real SEC fb. Great job

Spurrier has done a great job of keeping local talent in state. Those guys would normally leave, but building a foundation of winning has gotten those guys to buy in.

If he wins a Natty while at South Carolina he will be top 5 in NCAA history.
