This. Gruden has never coached a team where the talent on his team is vastly inferior to nearly every team his fans expect him to compete with. He has also never had to spend day and night on the road recruiting while also being 100% prepared for a weekly game. The college game is very very different than the NFL and I think Gruden would be a huge failure at any school that is not a top 10 perennial power.

Spot on correct and I like Gruden. Hog fans who think he would automatically do good are senile from this season.
No matter what some people think, it's not easier going from the pros to coaching in college.
