Haters gonna hate. Who cares? It'll be settled on the field. If LSU goes undefeated they'll be in. If LSU has 1-loss, they'll still have a good chance.

I think LSU and Bama are the top two teams in the country again this year, despite the narrow victory over AU. Usually a team has a suboptimal performance, but the key is that you still have to win the game. LSU dominated the game, but the two turnovers made the score much closer than the game should have been. Most NC teams have at least one scare during the regular season.

I don't think LSU is as good defensively as they were last year but they could be much better offensively if they can overcome their coaching. I think Bama is also less dominant defensively but much improved offensively this year.

There are several undefeated teams who are ranked that are pretenders and not contenders. Several of these teams are in the BIG 12. They play 9 conference games and so until they complete the round robin, one really doesn't know much about them.

I think FSU and Georgia are the next to best teams but part of my evaluation is based on their schedules. GA at least plays USC and FL but FSU is hardly tested until they play FL.
